How we make this site and our campus usable for everyone, the standard we aim for, and how to report a barrier.
Our commitment
Garage Tech Academy exists to open doors into tech careers — that only works if our site and programs are usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA on this website.
What we do on this site
- Semantic HTML with proper landmarks, headings, and labels for screen readers.
- Full keyboard navigation — every interactive element is reachable and operable without a mouse.
- Text and interface colours tested for sufficient contrast.
- Text that scales — the layout works at 200% browser zoom.
- Alt text on meaningful images.
On campus
Our Karu campus is on the ground floor with step-free access to the teaching areas. If you have specific access needs for classes or a campus visit, tell us when you apply or book — we will make arrangements wherever we reasonably can.
Known limitations
Some older blog images may be missing descriptive alt text, and third-party content we embed (for example maps or videos) may not meet the same standard. We fix issues as we find them.
