Garage Initiative Academy is the education institution of GarageHub, created to build Africa’s next generation of job-ready tech professionals through structured learning, mentorship, and practical experience.
We exist to solve a simple but critical problem:
Many Africans want to enter the tech industry, but most learning systems do not prepare them for real careers.
We are here to change that.
Our Origin
In 2018, within The Garage community, we launched the Garage Initiative Tech Leadership Bootcamp — a three-month intensive program focused on mindset development, leadership, and practical technology skills.
That experience revealed something important:
Talent was never the problem.
Structure was.
Garage Initiative Academy was born from that insight — not as a casual training program, but as a formal education institution designed to transition Africans into real, professional tech careers.
